Janitorial Staff

Job Description

A camp-based opportunity for janitorial staff, located just south of Fort McMurray. Having camp experience, with a valid Class 5 AB driver’s license is an absolute must. Schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off working 10-12 hour days. Shifts start on Wednesdays. 

MUST pass a drug and alcohol test prior to employment. 

What you’ll do

•  Maintain cleanliness of camp facilities and surrounding areas by: sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, washing windows, interior walls and ceilings vents; vacuuming and sanitizing.

• Conduct site inspections.

• Clean/Maintain vehicle being driven.

• Conduct vehicle inspection/walk around.

•  Empty garbage daily and disinfect the containers.

• Ensure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained.

• Assist with checking inventories and cleaning supplies.

•  Additional duties and responsibilities may be required.

Qualifications

• You have knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment

• Possess a valid Alberta Driver’s License.

• Ideally, you have related experience in camp setting or hotel/institutional environment.

• Commercial cleaning is considered an asset.

• Ability to sort recyclables.

• You are fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills.

• You are able to prioritize multiple demands and organize a work schedule.

• You have a strong customer service focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude.

• You are able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

• You are able to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 35 pounds.

• You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others.

This is a small camp and requires a real team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever, and whenever needed.
FIFO from YEG or YYC available with shuttle service to site from Fort McMurray.

Pay starts at $18/hr and benefits after 90 days.
